9月5日，我们迎来"中华慈善日"
为纪念在1997年9月5日逝世的特蕾莎修女，联合国将每年9月5日定为国际慈善日。旨在客观认识并动员全世界人民、非政府组织和利益相关者通过志愿者和慈善活动帮助他人。
2016年9月1日《中华人民共和国慈善法》正式实施，规定9月5日为“中华慈善日”，是和“国际慈善日”进行接轨。
特蕾莎修女
英文名：Mother Teresa of Calcutta，1910年8月27日－1997年9月5日，又称作德兰修女、特里莎修女、泰瑞莎修女，是世界著名的天主教慈善工作者，主要替印度加尔各答的穷人服务。因其一生致力于解除贫困，于1979年得到诺贝尔和平奖。2003年10月被教皇约翰·保罗二世列入了天主教宣福名单Beatification，特蕾莎修女的名称也因此变为真福特雷莎修女（Blessed Teresa）。
“我们常常无法做伟大的事, 但我们可以用伟大的爱去做些小事。怀大爱心，做小事情，在爱中成长，去爱，去给予，就像特蕾莎修女说的：
不管怎样，把你最好的给这个世界！
Although we cannot do great things, we can do some little things with great love, so that we can live in love and love the world just like Teresa had said:
no matter what, just give the world your best.”
1979年，特蕾莎修女获得诺贝尔和平奖。她身穿一件只值一美元的印度纱丽走上领奖台。不论是和总统会面还是服侍穷人，她都穿着这件衣服，她没有别的衣服。台下坐着珠光宝气、身份显赫的贵人，她视而不见，她的眼中只有穷人。台下立刻鸦雀无声。
Teresa won the Nobel peace prize in 1979 when she walk on the stage just with one dollar Indian clothes and this clothes is her only clothes at any circumstance. She cannot see any high price people or things; all she can see is people in poor and need help.
特蕾莎修女说过这样的话——
“即使你是友善的，
人们可能还是会说你自私和动机不良，
不管怎样，你还是要友善；
she had said:
People may think you are selfish or bad temptation
But no matter how
Just be nice to the world.
当你功成名就，
你会有一些虚假的朋友和一些真实的敌人，
不管怎样，你还是要取得成功；
When you are in success,
you may have some fake friends and real enemies,
But, you still need success;
即使你是诚实的和率直的，
人们可能还是会欺骗你，
不管怎样，你还是要诚实和率直；
Even though you are honest and frank,
you still could be cheated,
But you still need honest and frank;
你多年来营造的东西，
有人在一夜之间把它摧毁，
不管怎样，你还是要去营造；
Your precious stuff could be ruined within a blink,
But, you still need your precious;
如果你找到了平静和幸福，
他们可能会嫉妒你，
不管怎样，你还是要快乐；
If you are peaceful and happy,
others may jealous about you,
But you still should be happy;
即使把你最好的东西给了这个世界，
也许这些东西永远都不够，
不管怎样，把你最好的东西给这个世界。
Even though you had given away everything of yours,
Which may not enough at all;
说到底，
它是你和上帝之间的事，
而绝不是你和他人之间的事。
To the end,
The thing between you and God
are not around your corner.
